THE COMEBACK

Dress to impress, perfecting the seams of life so you can see just how serious this is.

It’s the comeback, mistakes made are learned from, choices to be made are thoroughly thought out, show me things because my eyes are open now, and tell me things for my ears are keen.

The return is great, I’m changed I’m new I just need you to see that.

I’ve altered my craft in amazing ways, I’ve always made you smile now I can make you laugh, he who made you cry I still don’t know how to take away those memories but I know how to take away your pain, I will show you the rainbow I see in your eyes, it will reflect on me and you’ll see the beauty I see in you. If you fall I’ll help you up instead of lifting you on my own this will be me highlighting your independence and illustrating your strength.

The reappearance is epic, I’m done with cliché, although I am, I won’t say I’m sorry, I know you don’t want to hear it, I’ll show you, you’ll feel it palm on my heart close your eyes and you’ll feel it, with every beat that caresses your hand will tell you how I feel, listen to it, it won’t say “I’m sorry,” but every beat that pierces through to your brain will whisper something sweet and kind, that something will tell you just how I feel.

But it’s not all on me let’s split this half-n-half; the multi-coloured signs may have been a bit too bright. You expect me to read your mind and accept lame excuses but that is besides the point, if it didn’t mean anything then make it mean something now I CARE! If I didn’t I would have thrown in the towel and call it quits instead I’m making a comeback.

Lights, as the introduction begins and the spotlight shadows my every move, strip me of the negatives; clothe me in the truth, in what I am. Calmly and collectively I’m making my way through the pandemonium of your thoughts my personal walk of shame knowing what I put you through and how u must feel about it, but I’m coming front and center, it is time, my time to prove to you that I am keener, I am true and I am willing.

Camera, as I stand firm on my beliefs before you and as your judgments are being passed think twice, take two on what you want to see me as and focus your lens and see me as I am, double take on what you say about me turn off auto tune and listen to me. As the films with memories replay in my mind of the good old days I sincerely pray it is not the end because you deserve me and I deserve you.

Action! It is time to do more; I can do more, I will do more. I will erase all doubts formed by my stupidity; I will wash the graffiti from the once perfect mind from which the most incredible ideas and sayings were and are derived; I will trim the hedges of misconception and weed out the bad judgments passed. I’m taking full responsibility for what I did, it’s all on me. It’s all on me to make it right, so this is my resurrection. You’re worthy of love, you may not see it but I do, and if you let me I’ll give you what you’re worth seeing is believing so let me show you. Straighten up, dust it off everything must be in place.
